The Story
The Meeting
They met quite by accident. When a mutual friend had a mind to hold a Bible study at her home, Derric was invited to lead it and Toni, among other friends, attended. They became solid acquaintances as a result.
The Dancing
Because of their shared love of swing dancing, the two continued encountering each other at various dances throughout the next few years.
The Teaming
In 2014, they joined the same swing team and later became dance partners. Over the years, between the tuck turns and triple steps, the pair journeyed from like to love and now they are here, ready to make what was once a dance partnership a partnership in life and love.

Favorite food: Meats and cheeses
Fruits or veggies: No, thank you.
Hobbies: Dancing, drawing, singing, video games, reading, yelling at bad movies.
Verse: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Rom. 8:28)
Story: He was always that cute guy with the inexplicable shoes. I’d been tickled pink when we were paired up as dance partners.
Honestly, I wasn’t really sure we were dating until we’d actually been dating for quite a few months. I must say, by then I certainly HOPED we were! (lol)
These past years have been a true joy and I honestly can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in this new chapter.

Hobbies: Dancing, video games, drumming, laughing at Toni yelling at bad movies

Story: She was that cute, quirky gal with the sensational voice. Wanting to get to know her more, I agreed to rejoin the swing team only on the condition that she be my partner.
After months of spending time with her both on and off the dance floor, I knew I’d made a good decision. Time with her made me happy and I was so excited when we finally made our dating relationship official.
Since then, I’ve only grown to love her more through the years. I am so looking forward to spending my life by her side.
